Sometimes we tend to complain about the simple things in life. The coffee shop getting our order wrong. Waking up on the wrong side of the bed "in a bad mood". Not being able to buy the new pair of Jordans before they sale out. Our food being too cold or not up to our tasting. Having to wake up for school/work. And the list goes on and on.
As a young Latina who is proud of her heritage and where her family comes from. I decided to give back to my people. I acknowledge the fact that i am not rich and can't help everyone. But helping some is better then none. Especially when it involves kids.
Mexico has historically had high drop-out rates as poor families pull kids out of school to help put food on the table. Or because they can't afford clothes and school supplies. In Mexico, it is not unusual to see homeless children as young as four or five years old beg or work in the street. Children often sale candy and Gum like the kid in the picture.
